Bloody Attempted Robbery Shakes Bloomsbury Square – Police Hunt Two Men
Detectives have launched a hunt for two men after a scary attempted robbery in Bloomsbury Square left a man sprayed in the face with an unknown substance.
Attack in Broad Daylight
On Tuesday, 13 April at 11:15am, a man in his 30s was walking through Bloomsbury Square, WC1A, when he was grabbed from behind and sprayed in the face. While he was on the floor, a second man approached, pretending to be a police officer.
The pair then tried to rob him.
Victim Hospitalised but Injuries Are Minor
The victim was rushed to hospital but was later discharged. Thankfully, his injuries are minor.

Officers want to speak to the following suspects:
- Suspect 1: White man, short black hair, wearing a dark hoodie or jacket, brown trousers, and white trainers.
- Suspect 2: White man, stocky build with short black hair, dressed in a dark blue jacket, blue tracksuit trousers or jeans, and black trainers.
