Massive Cannabis Haul Worth £45,000 Found in Hatfield Home
100 Plants Seized After Police Raid
Police uncovered a dangerous cannabis factory in a house on Bramble Road, Hatfield, yesterday (Thursday 20 May). Around 100 cannabis plants, with a street value estimated at £45,000, were seized. Officers also found the property’s electricity had been illegally bypassed, raising serious fire risks to nearby homes.
Zero Tolerance on Drug Dealing
Welwyn Hatfield Chief Inspector Simon Mason said: “We take a zero tolerance approach to drug dealing of any kind in Welwyn Hatfield. Cannabis factories are often linked to the exploitation of society’s most vulnerable and they can pose a fire risk to neighbouring properties.”
He added: “I am very pleased with this result and I hope the local community shares my relief in these drugs being off our streets. Thorough enquiries are now being carried out, and I urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
