Man Charged After Woman Assaulted in Woodland
Police were called at 9.32am on Wednesday, December 22, after reports of a woman being assaulted in woodland near Undercliff Drive. Thankfully, the woman escaped without serious injuries.
Suspect Held for False Imprisonment
Douglas James Knight, 28, of no fixed address, has been charged with false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today, December 24.
Teen Released
A 17-year-old boy arrested during the investigation has been released with no further action.
