Predator Caught Red-Handed in Liverpool Shop
Leslie Foster, 71, was arrested inside Liverpool’s St Johns Shopping Centre on September 25, 2021, after trying to prey on children under 13 at Home Bargains.
Judge Slams Foster with Nearly a Decade Behind Bars
The homeless man was hauled before Liverpool Crown Court and sentenced to nine years and six months in prison. He initially denied the charges but later admitted to two counts of causing and inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual offence.
Detective Praises Victims and Shop Staff
“Foster put his victims through the ordeal of a trial by denying the charges,” said Det Con Rachel Roberts. “We are relieved that Foster will spend several years behind bars and will no longer be able to terrorise and harm.”
She also commended the victims and their parents for their “bravery and strength throughout” and thanked the Home Bargains staff for their swift response.
