Tragic Crash Claims Life of Beloved Isle of Wight Woman
Yvonne Copland, 64, from Newport’s Shide area, died following a collision on Forest Road on the afternoon of Sunday, 14 April. The community has been left heartbroken by the loss.
Family Pay Emotional Tribute
Yvonne’s family released a touching statement: “Much loved wife, ‘ma’ of four and grandma to four grandchildren. She was adored by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by family and friends.”
Thanks to Emergency Services and Call for Privacy
The family expressed their gratitude to everyone involved in the rescue efforts: “We want to thank the first responders, air ambulance crew, paramedics, police, members of the public, and hospital staff for their tireless work.”
They added a heartfelt plea: “We appreciate all the support and kind wishes but respectfully ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
