Police Crack Down on Suspected Drug Dealing
Thanet’s Community Policing Team swooped on Victoria Road on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6, 2022, after residents tipped them off about suspected drug dealing. When officers approached a crowd, a man made a desperate bid to escape on an e-scooter.
Quick Arrest and Major Drug Bust
Police quickly detained the man and found a rucksack containing cannabis valued at £10,000 on the black market. They also recovered a sum of money believed to be connected to drug sales.
A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested nearby in Margate on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply. Both have been released on bail as investigations continue.
