Bank Cards Used Minutes After Burglary
Just hours later, at 5:36 a.m., the victim got a shock when she was alerted that one of her bank cards had been used at a nearby shop. Panic set in when she realised her purse was missing. Moments after, a second card was also used in another local store.
Kent Police Quick to Act and Arrest Suspects
Kent Police received a burglary report at 5:43 a.m. and sprang into action. Officers arrested two suspects later that morning – Rebecca Small, 34, and Jack Elliott, 32, both from Gill Avenue, Wainscott.
Court Date Set After Charges for Burglary and Fraud
At Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 23, the duo faced charges of one count of burglary and two counts of fraud each. They were released on bail under strict conditions and are due back in court on Wednesday, October 5.
