The BBC has received a statement from a certain police force, which validates two important points made by the parents of a young person involved in allegations against an unnamed BBC presenter, as reported by the Sun.
According to the police force, they were contacted in the month of April regarding this matter. Furthermore, they stated that no criminal activity was found. However, following recent developments, the police force has held meetings with the Metropolitan Police and the BBC, stating that further investigations are being carried out to determine whether there is evidence of any criminal offence.
It is worth mentioning that the parents initially lodged a complaint with the BBC on 18 May, as previously reported.
