Man stabbed in Woolwich – suspect arrested
Police were called around 11am on Tuesday, 21 March, to reports of a stabbing on Elmdene Road, Woolwich SE18.
Victim Found Bleeding in the Street
Officers and London Ambulance Service arrived to find a man in his 30s stumbling around, bleeding heavily from an arm wound. Nearby care home staff spotted him and quickly called the police. They helped stem the bleeding before emergency services took over.
Suspect in Custody
The injured man was rushed to hospital. His injuries are serious but not thought to be life-threatening. Meanwhile, a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody. Police continue to investigate the scene and circumstances surrounding the attack.
