During the trial, Ms Javed’s mother revealed how her daughter confided in her about the abuse and her plan to leave. Husband Anwar claimed Fawziyah slipped and fell taking a selfie on Arthur’s Seat’s rocky cliffs.
The court saw through this lie and found Anwar guilty of murdering his wife and their unborn child.
Life Sentence for ‘Wicked’ Killer Who Showed No Remorse
Sentencing Anwar to life behind bars with a minimum 20 years, the judge slammed his “wicked crime.”
“Ms Javed was entitled to protection. Anwar showed no remorse and made no attempt to save his wife, exposing the cold cruelty of his actions.”
Justice has been served for the young mother-to-be brutally taken from her family.
