Wayne Broadhurst, 49, a calm and beloved council binman from Uxbridge, was brutally stabbed outside his home while protecting a 14-year-old boy and his father from a violent knife attack. The incident happened around 5pm on Monday as Wayne was walking his dog near Midhurst Gardens, Hillingdon.

The Metropolitan Police swiftly arrested a 22-year-old Afghan man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
