A suspect has been charged after two people were injured in Maidstone. Kent Police was called at 2.40am on Saturday 6 May 2023, to a report of a disturbance in Rose Yard
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to hospital with cuts to his face. A second man later came forward and alleged he was also assaulted during the incident.
Patrols arrested two suspects and they were taken into custody. Nyron Scott, of Wantage Road, Reading, Berkshire was later charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. The 24-year-old appeared before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 8 May, where he was remanded to a hearing at the same court on 5 June.
A 23-year-old man from West Kilburn, Greater London, who was also arrested on suspicion of assault, was bailed to return to the police station on 6 August, pending further investigation.
