Man charged after vicious early morning attack in Maidstone

Kent Police swooped on a violence incident in Maidstone that left two men injured in the early hours of Saturday, 6 May 2023.

Knife attack at Rose Yard

Officers rushed to Rose Yard at 2.40am following reports of a disturbance. One man was hospitalised with cuts to his face. Another victim later came forward, claiming assault during the same incident.

Two suspects arrested, one charged

Police arrested two men at the scene. Nyron Scott, 24, from Wantage Road, Reading, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on 8 May and was remanded to appear again on 5 June.

A 23-year-old man from West Kilburn was also arrested but later bailed pending further investigation. He must return to the police station on 6 August.
