Teen Arrested After Shocking Robbery of Two Nine-Year-Old Boys

A 17-year-old lad was arrested on suspicion of robbery following a brazen attack outside a popular bar in Shanklin.

Gang Targets Young Boys Outside Regent Street Bar

Just before 5.30pm on Sunday 7th May, a gang of teenagers closed in on two nine-year-old boys outside The Falcon bar on Regent Street.

One boy was viciously punched, leaving him with a bloodied nose. The attackers then snatched his backpack.

Heroic Bystander Chases Thief and Recovers Stolen Bag

A quick-thinking member of the public gave chase after the gang, helping to track down the stolen backpack.

Thankfully, another good Samaritan then found the bag and returned it safely to its young owner.

Police Step In – Suspect Held in Custody

A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed:

“A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of the investigation and remains in custody at this time.”

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to probe the violent street robbery.
