Man in 30s arrested after stabbing death in Hammersmith flat

Deadly stabbing shocks West London

Police launched a murder probe after a man was found fatally stabbed in a Hammersmith flat on Tuesday evening.

Officers and paramedics rushed to a property off Fulham Palace Road near Hammersmith Square at around 7:50pm on 5 May. The victim, a man in his 30s, was discovered with what are believed to be stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect in custody

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a west London police station as detectives investigate.

Police say the suspect and victim were known to each other. A post-mortem will be carried out shortly, and officers are working to notify the next of kin.

Public appeal for information

Enquiries into the circumstances of the stabbing continue. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference 6697/05may.
