Brutal Belt Attack Caught on Camera

A 19-year-old from London has been hit with multiple robbery charges after a chilling video went viral. The footage shows Richile Vangu, from Bowes Road, New Southgate, striking a victim with a trouser belt at a Leicester student block. The victim is forced to transfer money from his bank account during the attack, sparking outrage online.

Two Daring Raids in One Night

  • First attack: November 21 at The Tannery, student accommodation on Bath Lane, Leicester.
  • Second raid: Later the same night at a different address in Harborough District, 13 miles away, where men demanded money transfers and designer gear.

Nine Robbery Charges and More Trouble Ahead

Leicestershire Police have charged Vangu with nine counts of robbery—four tied to the Bath Lane incident and five related to the Harborough attack. On top of that, he faces an additional charge of intentional suffocation.

Vangu appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court last Saturday and is set for further hearings.
