Teen Caught with Dangerous Knife-Hammer Combo in East London
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday evening after being found with a shocking weapon – a combined knife and hammer – in Newham.

At around 6pm on 25 April, officers from the Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce stopped and searched the teenager on Hoe Road. They discovered the unusual and dangerous combined knife and hammer in his possession.
Police Action and Statement
The boy was promptly arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in a public place. He was taken to an east London police station where he currently remains in custody.
“We conduct both highly visible and plain clothed patrols and we may travel in marked or unmarked vehicles,” said Inspector Peter Moxham of the Violent Crime Taskforce. “We often go unnoticed, but please be assured – you may not always see us but that doesn’t mean we are not around.”
