Neighbour Killer Sentenced to Life for Brutal Sheffield Murder
Life Behind Bars for Andrew Hague
Andrew Hague, 31, has been handed a life sentence at Sheffield Crown Court. He must serve a minimum of 17 years for the savage murder of his neighbour, Simon Wilkinson, 50.
The judge recommended Hague serve his sentence in a medical facility, though a final decision on this has yet to be made.
Brutal Attack in Fox Hill Road
Hague admitted to violently attacking Mr Wilkinson last August in the Fox Hill Road area of Sheffield. The assault caused serious injuries that proved fatal.
Justice for the Victim’s Family
Detective Inspector John Fitzgibbons said: “No sentence can ease the grief and pain that Mr Wilkinson’s family and friends have faced daily since his murder, but I hope today’s sentencing brings them some justice. My thoughts are with them after what must have been a difficult day.”
“Hague accepted responsibility for his senseless and brutal actions, which devastated all who knew Mr Wilkinson.”
