An investigation is underway after a van driver was allegedly assaulted by a group of motorcyclists in Ashford

Officers are carrying out enquiries following reports the victim had just arrived at the Eureka Leisure Park on Monday 6 May 2024 when his van was surrounded by approximately 20 motorcyclists sometime between 7.30am and 8.30am.

When the vehicles came to a stop, the van driver was reportedly assaulted through the window of his vehicle. He was then pulled out of his van before being punched and kicked several times.

The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered injuries to his face, legs and hand. He attended the local hospital for treatment. His vehicle was also damaged.

Kent Police is keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident.

In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who noticed a large group of motorcyclists in the area that morning. Motorists with dash cam footage from the area on 6 May could have important information that will help the investigation and are urged to get in touch.
