Thugs Target Beloved Doncaster Scout Hut in Vicious Break-In
Police have released CCTV snaps of three suspects linked to a nasty burglary at a local Scout Hut in Doncaster. The break-in left the community hub battered and bruised, smashing hearts as well as ovens.
Copper Theft and Vandalism Shake Community
Intruders smashed in, stripped copper piping, and trashed the inside. They even wrecked two pizza ovens. Stolen items include prized space heaters, tents, a barbecue, and a flatpack kitchen waiting to be installed. The damage is said to be extensive.
Scout Hut’s Hard-Won Legacy Shattered
“This Scout Hut was the result of ten years of local fundraising. We know how important it was to the Askern community and the amount of upset the incident has caused,”
said PC Egan-Wyer, leading the investigation. The hut was a beacon of community spirit and dedication, now left damaged and disheartening volunteers and locals.
