Police have issued a CCTV image and launched a public appeal to assist in the search for James Gibbons, a 16-year-old boy from Medway, who has been missing since he was last seen in the village of Cuxton shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
James is described as being approximately 5ft 11in tall with brown hair, braces, and a distinctive scar on the back right side of his head shaped like a question mark. He was last seen wearing brown tracksuit bottoms, a grey Hollister hooded pullover, a white shirt with a light brown and blue chequered pattern, black socks, and black trainers.

Chief Inspector Garry Cook expressed growing concern for James’ wellbeing, urging residents with private CCTV and drivers with dashcam footage to check for any possible sightings of James after 1 p.m. on Saturday. Police are also conducting searches in rural and wooded areas around Cuxton, asking local dog walkers, hikers, and horse riders to be on the lookout for him.
Anyone with information about James’ whereabouts is asked to contact the police by calling 999 and quoting reference 09-1043.
