Video Evidence Catches Violent Attack on Police
Indigo Bond, 21, from Fishponds, was sentenced today at Bristol Crown Court to 20 months behind bars. Bodycam footage, CCTV, and mobile videos revealed Bond kicking officers, shouting abuse, and hurling wood at the police during the riot.
Alcohol Fueled Rampage on College Green
The court heard Bond had been drinking on College Green in the hours leading up to the violent outbreak on Sunday, 21 March 2021. His Honour Judge Martin Picton said she was “at the forefront” and remained aggressive throughout the chaos.
Crackdown Tightens After 31 Sentenced
Bond becomes the 31st person sentenced for the riot, with the group collectively handed nearly 100 years in prison. Detective Superintendent James Riccio praised the painstaking video analysis that secured today’s conviction.
“More than 30 people have now been sentenced following the riot almost two years ago and we continue to 1 with the Crown Prosecution Service ahead of more court appearances in the coming months,” Riccio said.
