Six men arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Ryan Burton, 34, have been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
Ryan, originally from Corby, tragically passed away at University Hospital Coventry on Thursday, January 16, six days after being assaulted in Spring Rise Park, Kettering. The incident occurred near Highfield Road shortly before 7:00 PM on Friday, January 10.
Suspects Released on Bail
The six individuals arrested in connection with the case include:
- Four men from Kettering, aged 38, 24, 24, and 22.
- A 20-year-old man from Desborough.
- A 24-year-old man from Rothwell.
Initially detained on suspicion of assault, the men were later arrested on suspicion of murder. They have now been released on police bail as detectives work to piece together the events leading to Ryan’s death.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation is being conducted by Northamptonshire Police with support from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) Major Crime team. Officers continue to provide support to Ryan’s family during this difficult time.
Detectives are urging the public to come forward with any information, no matter how small, as it may be critical to the investigation. They are particularly interested in CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from the area around Spring Rise Park between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM on January 10.
