Shock in Bognor: Mum Charged with Murder of Newborn Baby
A grim tragedy has unfolded in Bognor after a woman was charged with murdering her newborn baby girl. The incident took place at a home on Aldwick Road on Wednesday morning (6 April).
Ambulance Called, Baby Confirmed Dead at Scene
An ambulance was called to the address at 8.37am. Sadly, the baby was declared dead at the scene. The mother was rushed to St Richard’s Hospital for urgent medical care.
29-Year-Old Gintare Suminaite Arrested and Charged
- Gintare Suminaite, 29, of Aldwick Road, was arrested on suspicion of murder after leaving hospital.
- She has now been formally charged.
- Suminaite is set to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April.
- Police confirm no one else is being sought in connection with the case.
