Wiltshire Police Appeal for Witnesses After Serious Collision in Melksham

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A365 Bath Road, which left a woman with potentially life-changing injuries.

Two-Car Crash Near Bowerhill Lane

The collision occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. yesterday (February 10), involving a red Vauxhall Astra and a red Nissan Micra near Bowerhill Lane.

According to police, the Nissan Micra was stationary and preparing to turn right onto Bowerhill Lane when the Vauxhall Astra collided with it.

  • The driver of the Nissan, a woman in her 40s, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where she remains for treatment.
  • The driver of the Vauxhall, a man in his 30s, was uninjured.

Road Closures and Police Investigation

The A365 Bath Road was closed for several hours while collision investigators examined the scene. It has since reopened.

Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Wiltshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
