Blaze breaks out at Aylesford pub – eight fire engines rush in

Kent Fire and Rescue Service has scrambled eight fire engines and a height vehicle to tackle a massive fire ripping through a pub on High Street, Aylesford. Firefighters found thick smoke and flames pouring from a first-floor window on arrival.

Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries. But locals are being told to keep windows and doors shut as choking smoke blankets the area.

Crews are fighting the blaze with compressed air foam, hose reel jets, and powerful main jets. The height vehicle is key in battling the flames as they spread onto the building’s roof.

Firefighters remain on scene, meticulously turning over debris and damping down hotspots to prevent flare-ups.
