Four-Car Collision Near Emerson Park Station in Hornchurch – No Injuries Reported

Emergency services were called to the scene of a four-car crash near Emerson Park Overground station in Hornchurch earlier today.

The incident occurred around 11am on Billet Lane, near its junction with North Street, and involved a line of vehicles which had reportedly collided bumper-to-bumper.

Ambulance Crew Stood Down

The London Ambulance Service was alerted to the crash at 11:01am and quickly dispatched a crew to the scene. However, after assessing the situation, paramedics confirmed that no one required medical treatment, and the crew was stood down shortly after arriving.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said:

“We were called at 11.01am today (Tuesday 15 April) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Billet Lane and North Street, Hornchurch.
We sent an ambulance crew to the scene, but they were quickly stood down when it was determined there were no patients needing our help.”

Police Contacted

The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further information regarding the circumstances of the crash and whether any traffic offences are being investigated.

Disruption to Local Traffic

The collision caused temporary disruption to traffic in the area as the vehicles involved were cleared. A photo from the scene shows the four cars aligned closely, each having sustained rear-end damage, indicating a likely chain-reaction style crash.

No road closures were reported, and traffic conditions in the area have since returned to normal.

Drivers are reminded to maintain safe following distances and remain alert, especially near busy junctions and train stations.
