Man in Critical Condition After Horror Crash in Rainham
A man is fighting for his life following a brutal collision between a car and a pedestrian on New Road, Rainham.
Emergency Rush to the Scene
Just after 8pm on Friday, April 25, police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene after reports of a serious crash. The victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered severe injuries. He was treated at the roadside before being rushed to hospital.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed his injuries are potentially life-changing, and possibly life-threatening.
Police Launch Serious Collision Investigation
“Police were called to New Road, RM13 at 20:18hrs on Friday, 25 April following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 45-year-old man for serious injuries before taking him to hospital. The man suffered life-changing or potentially life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.”
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the inquiry. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
