Shop Staff Harassed and Assaulted at St James Retail Park
The town’s Victim Based Crime Team launched an investigation following reports of shop staff being verbally abused and assaulted at St James Retail Park on Thursday 7 and Tuesday 19 September 2023.
Abbie Thompson Faces Multiple Charges
Abbie Thompson, 38, has been charged with assault and racially aggravated harassment for the incident on 7 September.
She faces further charges including four counts of assault and another racially aggravated harassment charge relating to the events on 19 September.
Harassment Charge Extended to Police Officer
Adding to her troubles, Thompson is also charged with racially aggravated harassment against a police officer during her arrest on 26 September.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Thompson, from Snargate Street, is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 27 September.
