Camden Woman, 69, Stabbed to Death in Her Home as Police Hunt for Attacker and Missing Rolex

A 69-year-old woman has been found murdered in her Camden home, with police launching a manhunt for the suspect and appealing for help locating a missing Rolex watch believed to have been stolen during the attack.

Jennifer Abbott, known professionally as Sarah Steinberg, was discovered with stab wounds at her residence on Mornington Place at around 6pm on Friday, 13 June, after a report from the London Ambulance Service.

She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, and a post-mortem conducted on Sunday, 15 June confirmed she died from sharp force trauma.

Community in Shock

Jennifer was a well-known and beloved member of the community, often seen walking her Corgi dog around Camden. Neighbours last saw her alive on Tuesday, 10 June.

“She was a familiar face and always kind,” one local resident told Sentinel Current. “This has shaken everyone who knew her.”

Possible Robbery Motive – Rolex Missing

While detectives are keeping an open mind about the motive, the Metropolitan Police have revealed that a valuable Rolex watch with a diamond-encrusted face is missing from Jennifer’s home.

Police released an image of a similar high-value watch and are urging pawnbrokers, jewellers, and the public to be on alert.

“It could be worth thousands of pounds,” a police spokesperson said. “Its disappearance may be linked to the motive for the murder.”

Urgent Witness Appeal

Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart said:
“We are working closely with the homicide team to establish what happened. If you were in Camden on Friday evening and saw or heard anything unusual in or near Mornington Place, please contact us. No detail is too small.”
