Tragedy struck on Stane Street, Billingshurst, at around 9:10pm when a collision claimed two lives and left others fighting for theirs.
Two Dead, Two Critical After Horror Crash
The driver of a Skoda, a 22-year-old man from Dorking, and the passenger of a Renault, a 19-year-old woman from Carshalton, both died at the scene. Meanwhile, the sole passenger in the Skoda, a 23-year-old Dorking man, and the Renault’s 19-year-old driver from Billingshurst were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Next of Kin Supported as Police Launch Investigation
Specialist officers are supporting the bereaved families. Sergeant Ian Foxton said, “This is a tragic incident, and I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those involved.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Sussex Police have launched an investigation into the crash and are desperate for help. Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to come forward. Reports can be made online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Select.
