Late Night Attacks in Canterbury
Kent Police have charged a man following disturbing sexual assaults on two late-teen girls in Canterbury. The incidents unfolded shortly after 3am on Saturday, 14 March 2026, near Station Road East.
The victims, walking from Rhodaus Town, were approached by the suspect who tried to strike up a conversation before following and sexually assaulting them. The offenders’ inappropriate comments added to the victims’ distress.
Suspect Caught and Charged
Thanks to the quick thinking of the victims alerting friends, the suspect fled briefly but was soon arrested by officers nearby. Harry Homewood, 21, from Augustine Road, Ramsgate, was charged the next day with four counts of sexual assault and two counts of assault.
He appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 16 March and was bailed with strict conditions. He is set to stand trial at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 20 April 2026.
