Police Hunt Man Who Pushed Victims onto Tube Tracks
Detectives are urgently appealing for help to identify a man involved in multiple assaults on London Underground. The suspect struck at Baker Street and Finchley Road stations in quick succession, leaving two victims hospitalised but not seriously injured.
Victims Attacked on Baker Street and Finchley Road
At 11.50am on Thursday, the first attack happened at Baker Street station. Minutes later, just after midday, the same man was spotted at Finchley Road where he pushed another passenger onto the tube tracks. A third victim has since come forward, claiming assault by the suspect on a train from Finchley Road.
Distinctive Clues: Gaffer Tape and Marked Hat
Police say the attacker is often seen wearing gaffer tape strapped around his leg. They’ve also released clearer images highlighting a distinctive hat with unique markings on the back. No links are believed to exist between the victims and the suspect at this stage.
Police Appeal: Spot the Man, Call 999
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Langley said:
“Our investigation is continuing at pace with a strong police presence in the area to reassure the public. “We urgently want to trace this man connected to three assaults. If you recognise him, please call 999 immediately quoting reference 517 of 27/10/22.”
