Teen Stabbed to Death in Petts Wood Park
Police rushed to Jubilee Park near Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood at around 2.30pm on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing. A 19-year-old man was found stabbed and, despite efforts from officers and the Air Ambulance, he sadly died at the scene.
Crime Scene Active as Police Hunt Killer
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, but formal ID is pending. A post-mortem will take place in due course. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation, with the crime scene still in place.
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Webb said: “I urge anyone who witnessed the attack or saw suspicious behaviour near the park to come forward. Even small details could help us catch the person responsible.”
No Arrests Yet – Police Appeal for Witnesses
Superintendent Lewis Collins added: “Our thoughts are with this young man’s family and friends. This tragic stabbing happened in a quiet area and will affect the whole community.
“There will be increased police presence in the coming days. Please speak to an officer if you have any information or concerns.”
