Folkestone Woman Attacked in Late-Night Bag Snatch
Detectives want witnesses after a robbery in Folkestone left a woman with minor injuries. The victim was targeted on Clarence Street at about 11:30pm on Monday, 17 March 2025.
Bag Stolen With Cards and Cash
Kent Police say the woman was walking along when a suspect snatched her bag. Inside were a debit card, a credit card, and some cash. Although she suffered minor injuries during the robbery, she didn’t need hospital treatment.
Man Arrested, Police Seek Witnesses
A 46-year-old man from Folkestone has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in custody as inquiries continue.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything unusual around Clarence Street at the time of the robbery to contact us. Your information could be vital to our investigation,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
