Fuel Crisis Hits Isle of Wight Again

Two major supermarket garages on the Isle of Wight have run dry of diesel for the third time this month. Drivers are now forced to trek to Lake just to fill up.

Tesco and Asda Dry Out

Both Tesco and Asda have officially run out of diesel supplies, with signs up warning customers at their pumps. Morrison’s escaped the worst thanks to a mainland supplier who shipped in fresh fuel. They confirmed Tuesday evening they currently have stock.

Supply Blackout Sparks Frustration

Tesco and Asda won’t be getting any deliveries anytime soon, after wholesalers Isle of Wight Fuels reportedly ran out. Managers at the sites admitted they’re scrambling to restore supply but had no clear timeline.

“We’re working hard to get fuel back on the forecourt but can’t say when it’ll arrive,” a site manager revealed.

Tesco is said to be hunting for an alternative supplier to ease the shortage. Drivers are bracing for more headaches as the fuel crisis drags on.
