Bury Schools to Stay Open for Key Workers’ Kids
Education chiefs in Bury have teamed up with local schools to keep them open for vulnerable children and kids of key workers. From Monday, all schools will welcome these children back.
Two Schools Still Closed – But Clarification Coming
Radcliffe Hall Primary and St Luke’s Primary remain shut for now. Officials promise an update soon. The Government is set to clarify which workers count as key, including NHS staff and emergency services.
Council Ready to Help Key Workers
Once definitions are clear, the council will guide key workers on how to arrange school places. A council spokesman said:
“We’ve kept close contact with all schools and thank them for following Government advice so far. Now schools close for most students, we’re making sure places are in place for those who still need to attend. Tomorrow, we’ll finalise plans to transfer children from closed schools to others if needed.”
