Masked Suspects on the Run
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Hall of Newbury police station revealed:
“We’re in the early stages of the investigation with a scene-watch near Lucey Close, close to the Cotswold Play Park. Witnesses reported a male fleeing the scene, possibly armed with a knife, running towards Cotswold Play Park with several others. All were wearing dark clothing and face masks.”
Officers have not made any arrests yet but are combing through CCTV footage and canvassing witnesses. A heavy police presence remains in the area to reassure the community and aid inquiries.
Police Appeal for Information – Don’t Share Videos on Social Media
Detective Hall urged locals to come forward with any information or footage:
“If you saw anything or have videos, please don’t post them online. Contact the police directly so we can piece together exactly what happened. The carrying and use of knives is utterly unacceptable, and we are determined to catch those responsible.”
