Teen Arrested Over Croydon Stabbing Murder
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder in Brighton on Friday, 2 July. He is currently held at a police station in East Sussex, linked to a fatal stabbing in Croydon.
Late-Night Attack Leaves 16-Year-Old Dead
Police were called just after midnight on Thursday, 1 July, to a disturbance at a home on Bracken Avenue, Shrublands, Croydon. Officers discovered a 16-year-old boy inside with stab wounds.
Emergency teams, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene and gave first aid. Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at 01:34am.
Investigation Ongoing – Police Seek Witnesses
Next of kin have been informed, with a post-mortem scheduled soon. Detectives have not confirmed a motive and keep all options open.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Blair said: “Despite this early arrest, we still want to hear from anyone with information about this horrific incident.”
