Tragic Stabbing on Seeley Drive
Officers rushed to Seeley Drive, SE21, at 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 8, following reports of a stabbing. Paramedics, including London’s Air Ambulance, tried to save the victim but he was pronounced dead at the scene just 33 minutes later.
The victim has been identified as Donnell Rhule, 18, from south-east London. His family has been informed.
Investigation Underway: Police Seek Witnesses
A post-mortem confirmed Donnell died from a knife wound to the chest. Homicide detectives say Donnell was attacked on Lyall Avenue before stumbling to the shops on Seeley Drive.
On the evening of July 10, police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.
“This is a generally quiet area, so I am certain that a number of people will have seen or heard something significant,” said Senior Investigating Officer DCI Rob Pack.
“Although one person has been arrested, we know several suspects and vehicles were involved. Anyone with information, no matter how small, could be crucial.”
