Young Man Stabbed to Death in Abbey Wood Fight

Tragedy struck Abbey Wood on Saturday evening when police were called to reports of a violent fight. At around 5.34pm on 6 March, officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to Edington Road, where they found an 18-year-old man with a fatal stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Victim Believed to Be Mazaza Owusu-Mensah

While formal identification is still pending, police are confident the victim is Mazaza Owusu-Mensah. His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched an urgent murder investigation, with detectives working hard to track down the killers.

Detectives Plead for Witnesses to Come Forward

“This was a senseless attack on a young man that has left a family grieving,” said Detective Chief Inspector John Neil. “We are doing everything we can to identify those responsible.”

“This happened on a quiet residential street, and with many people at home right now, we urge anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward.”
