Double Tragedy in Abbey Wood and Thamesmead

On Saturday evening, police rushed to two separate stabbing scenes just a mile apart in Abbey Wood and Thamesmead. At around 5.10pm, officers arrived at Sewell Road and Titmuss Avenue to find two teenage boys suffering from stab wounds.

Emergency Crews Battle to Save Victims

London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service were on the scene, providing urgent medical aid. Despite their best efforts, both 16-year-olds tragically died from their injuries later that evening.

Investigation Underway with Knife Crime Powers Activated

Crime scenes remain sealed off as detectives launch a full investigation into the killings. Specialist officers are supporting the families of the victims.

Police have imposed a Section 60 order, giving officers extra stop and search powers in the area until 8am Sunday, 27 November. They urgently want to determine if the two attacks are connected.
