Man Sprayed in Face with Corrosive Substance During Botched Robbery in Bloomsbury

Police were scrambled at 11:18am on Tuesday, 13 April after a man was attacked with a corrosive substance in central London’s Bloomsbury Place, WC1.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers teamed up with London Ambulance Service and the Fire Brigade to respond to the shocking incident. The victim, a man in his 30s, was sprayed in the face, causing severe eye irritation and inflammation.

Victim Taken to Hospital, No Lasting Injuries

The injured man was rushed to a central London hospital. Thankfully, doctors confirmed he suffered no permanent damage and he was discharged shortly after treatment.

Robbery Attempt Under Investigation

Detectives suspect the corrosive spray was used during a robbery attempt. So far, no arrests have been made, and inquiries continue.
