Emergency services were called to Emerson Park School on Wingletye Lane in Hornchurch, Essex, just before 2 PM on Wednesday after reports that CS gas had been released in a classroom, leading to the exposure of 25 students and several teaching staff.   Officers from the Metropolitan Police, alongside crews from the London Ambulance Service (LAS), Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), and the London Fire Brigade, quickly arrived at the scene. UPDATE 3.31pm : A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.20pm today (Wednesday 9 October) to reports of an incident in Wych Elm Road, Hornchurch.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer. “The first of our crews arrived in four minutes. “Our crews assessed one adult and six teenagers, before discharging them at the scene.”
