A wave of violence swept across London over the weekend, leaving 11 people, including an 11-year-old girl, stabbed in a series of shocking incidents. The attacks occurred between August 10 and 12 in various locations, including Forest Gate, Hither Green, Leicester Square, Newham, and Barnet.

Triple Stabbing at Illegal Rave in Newham

Three men were stabbed during an illegal rave in Newham on August 11. The incident occurred on Bidder Street near Stephenson Street at around 3 a.m. Two of the victims were stabbed, while a third suffered serious lacerations to his hand. All three men remain hospitalized, and a crime scene has been established. No arrests have been made.

Teenager Stabbed in Hither Green

A teenager was stabbed in Hither Green on August 11. The incident took place in Manor Park shortly before 12:50 p.m. The victim, a man in his late teens, was taken to the hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening. Police have not made any arrests in connection with the attack.

Man, 43, Stabbed in Barnet

A 43-year-old man was stabbed in Barnet on the evening of August 11. The attack occurred in Hampden Square just before 8:40 p.m. The victim was taken to a west London hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening. A 26-year-old man was later arrested at an address in Enfield on suspicion of GBH-level assault.

Double Stabbing in Leicester Square Involving 11-Year-Old Girl

In a particularly shocking incident, an 11-year-old girl and her 34-year-old mother were stabbed in Leicester Square on August 12. The girl sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive, while her mother suffered minor injuries. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

A local security guard, Abdullah, intervened heroically, disarming the attacker and restraining him until police arrived. Abdullah and his colleagues provided first aid to the child before emergency services took over. Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah praised the bravery of those who intervened, calling it “the best of London.”

The motive for the attack is still under investigation, but police do not believe it was terror-related. The suspect and the victims were not known to each other, and detectives are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Ongoing Investigations

As investigations into these incidents continue, police are urging anyone with information to contact them. The spate of stabbings has raised concerns across the capital, with authorities working to determine the causes and connections, if any, between the attacks.
