A 16-year-old boy and a man in his 50s were both stabbed in Newham on Saturday afternoon, with the latter now fighting for his life in hospital.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to Hartington Road shortly after 4:30 pm on Saturday, October 5, following reports of a stabbing. Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) responded to the scene.
The man in his 50s was found with stab wounds and was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The 16-year-old boy was also found with slash injuries, though his condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and has been taken into police custody.
