Cowes Enterprise College was plunged into lockdown this afternoon after a serious incident involving a female student. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports the girl fell from a balcony.
Girl Falls from Height at School
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called at 12:10pm following the fall. A Hampshire and Isle of Wight ambulance landed on school grounds to support paramedics already attending.
A source confirmed the student fell from a significant height and was injured in the fall.
Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said, “We were called at 12:57pm to reports of a teenage girl suffering serious injuries from a fall at Cowes Enterprise College.”
They added, “The injuries are not deemed life-threatening. Officers are on scene at this time, but the circumstances are not being treated as suspicious.”
