Man in his 80s killed in horror crash on Colney Hatch Lane
At 7:42 pm, emergency crews responded to a crash near Powerleague Barnet on Colney Hatch Lane. A man in his 80s was found unresponsive after his car smashed into advertising hoardings. Despite officers performing CPR and paramedics rushing to the scene, he was pronounced dead.
The Met Police have launched a full investigation, probing whether any other vehicles were involved in the fatal collision.
Stabbing shock just 20 minutes later on King Street
At 8:02 pm, just over a mile away, police were called to a stabbing on King Street, near Church Lane. A 30-year-old man suffered stab wounds in the attack and was taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made so far, but a crime scene remains taped off outside the King Street Food & Wine shop. Scotland Yard confirmed inquiries are ongoing for both incidents.
