A man has tragically died following a collision with a moped on Poynders Road, at the junction with Clarence Avenue, SW4, in Clapham. Police have launched an investigation into the fatal incident and are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage to aid their inquiries.

Incident Details

Emergency services were called to the scene at 00:03 hrs on Tuesday, December 10, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a moped. Despite the swift response of the London Ambulance Service, the pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Efforts are ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin.

The rider of the moped was also injured and has been hospitalized in critical condition.
