Detectives are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious collision on Bunns Lane, Barnet, left a motorcyclist critically injured.
Incident Details
The collision occurred at around 7:40 pm on Monday, 11 November. A Yamaha scooter was involved in a crash with a VW Polo. Emergency services, including police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS), attended the scene.
The 28-year-old rider of the scooter was rushed to a north London hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The occupants of the VW Polo—a 19-year-old driver and two 17-year-old passengers—stayed at the scene and were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Arrest Made
The driver of the VW Polo, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Appeal
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision are encouraged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
