Man Killed After Audi Crashes Into House in Shocking Hit-and-Run
A black Audi S8 ploughed into a 63-year-old man before smashing into a house on Morgan Mews at around 9pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The driver fled the scene on foot, leaving chaos in their wake.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly declared David Francis from Litherland dead at the spot.
Police Hunt Teen Linked to Fatal Collision
Detectives are urgently hunting 17-year-old Lewis Wright, believed to have vital information about the tragic crash. Wright, described as a white male, 5ft 6in tall with brown hair and eyes, is known to frequent the Netherton and Litherland areas.
Detectives Plead for Public Help
“I am appealing to anyone who has information regarding this investigation to come forward, particularly anyone who has not yet spoken to police and knows this boy or saw the incident take place on Morgan Mews,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andrew McCourt.
“We believe Wright could hold vital information for our ongoing enquiries and urge the public to help us find him.”
“This was a horrific and reckless incident that has left a family devastated. We are determined to find the person responsible and bring them to justice.”
“Please contact police urgently with any information that may assist our investigation and help bring justice for David and his loved ones.”
